The Farm Credit System (FCS) is the leader in agricultural and rural financing in the United States. FCS is Rural America’s Customer-Owned Partner.
In fact, we’re the largest single lender to agriculture in the nation. And FCS does something no other lender does. We operate as a cooperative, for the benefit of our customers. AgHeritage FCS is the cooperative servicing the financial needs of the agricultural community in 24 central Arkansas counties. Based in Little Rock, AgHeritage FCS has nine branch locations and provides services to over 6,400 customer-owners, with owned and managed assets of approximately $2.46 billion as of December 31, 2023. Founded in 1916, FCS has had a long-standing partnership with agriculture and rural America. We’ve helped America’s farmers and rural communities grow and prosper by providing sound, dependable credit and financial services.

Size and Structure
AgHeritage FCS is one of four cooperative lenders in the Farm Credit organization serving the state of Arkansas who, along with several other states, are grouped together to form a district of the Farm Credit System. The Farm Credit System, a national cooperative that serves those involved in the business of agriculture nationwide, sells bonds on Wall Street to fund the System’s loans to farmers, ranchers, rural businesses, communities and homeowners. These funds are distributed down from Wall Street to Arkansas producers through a wholesale financial institution that provides funding for AgHeritage FCS and other district states. Nationally, Farm Credit is the largest single lender to the agricultural industry.
