USDA Cattle on Feed Report Preview

20-Feb-2025
11:25:00

OMAHA (DTN) -- Friday's Feb. 1 USDA Cattle on Feed report will likely be perceived as bearish given that placements are expected to be greater than a year ago.

It's important to remember that Mexican cattle imports were resumed in February, which undoubtedly contributed to the increase in placements. Nevertheless, Friday's report will likely come as another bearish thorn to the cattle complex, which has already been struggling from a technical sense.

USDA will release its Feb. 1 Cattle on Feed report at 2 p.m. CST on Friday.
