Paul W. Barret, Jr. Graduate School of Banking in Memphis, Tenn. recently announced the graduation of Lee Thielemier, Agricultural Lending Office with AgHeritage Farm Credit Services Pocahontas Branch and Kevin Wingfield, Agricultural Lending Officer with AgHeritage Farm Credit Services Stuttgart Branch.
Eighty-three students completed the three-year curriculum and graduated in the 2019 class. The school was held on the campus of Christian Brothers University in Memphis. Betsy Flynn, Chairman of the Board of Regents of Paul W. Barret, Jr. School of Banking, spoke at the graduation ceremony on May 24 and congratulated the group on behalf of the Board.
In addition to course work, students attended the annual Paul W. Barret, Jr. Lecture Series event, where Daymond John, best known from his time on Shark Tank, addressed the class and their guests.
Paul W. Barret, Jr. Graduate School of Banking has been providing advanced banking education for 46 years, with a curriculum designed to provide a high degree of understanding of all commercial banking functions. During the three-year program, graduates received 128 hours of classroom instruction and prepared in-depth reports in eight areas of study. Approximately 257 financial industry professionals from 24 states participated in the 2019 session.
AgHeritage Farm Credit Services is a financial cooperative with owned and managed assets of approximately $1.4 billion as of December 31, 2018 that provides credit and related services to more than 3,000 farmers, ranchers and producers or harvesters of aquatic products in 24 Arkansas counties.
Branch offices are located in Batesville, Brinkley, Lonoke, McGehee, Newport, Pocahontas, Pine Bluff, Searcy, Star City and Stuttgart.
